A traditional Kiwi campground, surrounded by a shallow river on one side and beautiful NZ bush on the other. Wake up in the morning to the sound of tuis and magnificent wood pigeons. Located across the road from Buffalo Beach. less than 5 minutes from Whitianga town, we are the only campground near the beach Consists of over 50 campsites, powered and unpowered, cabins and tourist flats.
There are 6 studios, linen is provided, studios have a kitchenette with microwave, fridge/freezer, crockery/cutlery and TV. There are no cooking facilities or bathroom (use camp facilities)
Studios and Tourist Flats have been renovated in 2026.

We do not provide milk tea or coffee, salt and pepper etc in any of our accommodation Heaters provided in winter.
Multiple bookings - we do not accommodate guests next door to each other where there is more than 1 reservation.
This also applies to camping where there are multiple couples sites.
Groups
There are no studios and Tourist Flats available between 27 December and 7 January 2027. Outside these dates where available, a bond may be charged, check with reception.
